Nobel laureates by university affiliation : ウィキペディア英語版
List of Nobel laureates by university affiliation
This list of Nobel laureates by university affiliation shows the university affiliations (either as a student, alumnus/alumna, researcher, or faculty) of winners of the Nobel Prize and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Universities are listed in descending order according to the number of affiliates.
Each institution practices different methods for counting affiliates, from generous counting to conservative. The Unofficial Count in this list is simply the number of unique names listed here for each university. Many universities maintain their own tallies using widely divergent methodologies, most narrower than what appears on this list. Within this list, the Official Counts are those published by the universities themselves. According to these official counts, University of Cambridge has the highest number of Nobel Laureates (graduates as well as total official affiliations). Using a methodology consistent with that of University of Cambridge, Harvard University would have significantly more affiliated laureates.
For the sake of consistency, this list uses the broadest definition for university affiliation and includes people who were associated with a university for less than one year. It is not always straightforward to determine which institution was key to the contribution for which each Nobel laureate was honored. Many laureates earn their bachelor's and master's degrees at one university, then move to a different university to earn their doctorates. Some laureates may have taught or done research at more than one university. Therefore, many names will appear below as Graduates, Researchers, or Academic Staff of more than one university.
A list of laureates' university affiliations is also maintained by the Nobel Foundation, which defines the awards by the affiliation at the time of the award.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Nobel Laureates and Universities )
The federal University of London is counted by its individual constituent colleges in this table. The University of London and Imperial College London (which separated in 2007) together have a total of more than 80 affiliated Nobel laureates overall (including 7 Nobel laureates affiliated to the University of London International Programmes).
The University of California is also counted here by its individual campuses. The University of California system as a whole is affiliated with at least 120 Nobel laureates.
Legend: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Peace, Economics.
